Why consider inkjet?

Inkjet is a fundamentally different printing technology to offset lithographic. Litho offers exceptional quality and is very economic for large orders quantities. It is, however, a batch process, so as the order quantity reduces the unit costs increase. Automation has made smaller runs more cost effective, reducing but not eliminating the batch nature of the process. Inkjet printing is different: it takes the same time, energy and materials to print one unit as it does to print 100,000. This is what makes it interesting for anyone who needs or wants small order quantities.

IF YOU CURRENTLY ORDER IN QUANTITIES OF 500 OR LESS OR HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO SELL PERSONALISED TINS, THEN READ ON.

How inkjet delivers?

Today’s inkjet technology with its small drop printhead and highly accurate drop placement combined with a high colour density ink set delivers ‘litho like’ quality with surprisingly low build and extensive, no compromise, colour gamut.

What inkjet delivers?

Cost effective small order quantities

Inkjet doesn’t have the set-up costs of litho, no printing plates, ‘make-ready’ time, or waste sheets making it the go to solution where order quantities are low.

Colour consistency

Inkjet is inherently consistent, corner to corner, sheet to sheet, order to order, colours are accurately reproduced even when the run size is a single sheet.

Speed

Like most things digital inkjet has less physical processes making it much faster from artwork to print which cuts lead times.

Proofing

Inkjet makes proofing on press cost effective enabling metal proofs that perfectly match production.

Prototyping and sampling

It is easy, quick, efficient and accurate to print any number of subtly different shades within a design allowing marketers and designers to quickly and accurately transform concepts into reality.

Personalisation

Every blank (image) on a sheet can be completely different enabling personalised packaging for the growing gifting segment.

Special effects

The Acuity B1 with its LED pinning and UV Inkjet technology can produce some incredible effects by ‘3D printing’, layering the ink, creating textures which literally give designers another dimension to work with.
